RE: Crosshair and Black Screen - plutomaniac - 07-07-2011 are you sure you have Windows 7 x86 and not x64? Go to run and type dxdiag. Extract the info shown there and attach the file DxDiag.txt here in this topic. RE: Crosshair and Black Screen - QuietStealth - 07-07-2011 It's a x64 Here's the DxDiag note RE: Crosshair and Black Screen - plutomaniac - 07-08-2011 that's why it didn't work, install this: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20037&ProdId=3231&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers RE: Crosshair and Black Screen - QuietStealth - 07-08-2011 "The Driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from your computer manufacturer. Setup will exit." Now what? RE: Crosshair and Black Screen - jens - 07-08-2011 You'll have to visit the HP website and search for an updated graphics driver for your Pavilion. Then try to install that instead. If that does not work then you can either contact their support to get help on how to update the drivers for their models or you can Google for how to install drivers on computers that have been "locked" like this. |
