the pictures are fine. Check your monitors gamma.

@plutomaniac I've just done some touch up's to it, as suggested by StreetBoat. It looks a lot smoother now, Here is a download link for the new one, and i'll add a couple more screenshots to the original post in a second

Cool! Maybe try baking some AO into the texture, that'd also probably help with the "smoothness" effect.

I have posted an updated link, I don't know if any of you had the problem, but when I scaled down the mesh and body in model editor, the body stayed the same size in game. The new link has fixed this by making the shelf scaled up by default. It's a nuisance, but it's better than nothing.
btw, if anyone has some ideas for a second project, i would be happy to give it a go, as long as its not too difficult
