Im convinced that there is another N on the left side. It looks like it's a different font, but there is DEFINITELY a letter N there. It completely stands out from the rest of the background. Whether or not its part of the clue remains to be seen.

The biggest number at the bottom of the text is 23. There are 23 lines of text in the file. Might be relevant?

Well, the highest number is 23 and there are 23 lines. Earlier I tried pairing them up, e.g. 9 and 1, 14 and 12, etc... and used the first letter in each pair to denote a line and the second a word in the line.
Results:
castle, recovered, unearthed, England, London, line, Olde, vampire, effort
If you take the first letter of each word, you get cruEL lOve.
It doesn't work as a pw, sadly, as much as I tried. So for now it's just a neat coincidence.
