Aah, concept art. I horribly fail at 'em:
I'm not a tru artist. I fail at 3d perspective (in paper). My drawing skills are the same as a 3-year-old kid. Same with my handwriting.

Finally got a hint of inspiration and painted this in about 2.5 - 3 hours. :3 Too long of a timeframe imo, but I'm happy with it for now.

The lighting looks much better in the newer piece ~ greater color ranges. The older image has kind of a flat lighting :]

I agree. I tend to stay away from that painting because the only thing I like in it is the character. I wasn't exactly skilled in environmental painting and brush settings... So it kinda tuned out bad. |D
I think I'm going to make a New Year's Resolution to do a 1-2 hour concept painting every-every other day... Perhaps 4-5 times a week. Really get the hang of perspective and try techniques. I also have to stop being so nit-picky. Things come out bad when I do that.
