I can't really say anything about detailing since the picture is too dark. Good luck with improving mate ![]() RE: Screenshot criticism thread - FlawlessHappiness - 05-19-2014 (05-18-2014, 09:15 PM)Chieftain1 Wrote:(05-18-2014, 08:58 PM)Wapez Wrote:(05-18-2014, 08:31 PM)Chieftain1 Wrote: It's good, but not done yet. Try placing pointlights where you think it seems natural. Play with the colors, but keep them low. We're talking about 0.1 or 0.2. Not higher. You need some yellow pointlights at the lamps. Blue pointlights at the window. Green one at the green lamp. Just try and see what happens when you place them RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Streetboat - 05-19-2014 to get an idea of how far light actually travels, light a candle in your room at night. while a candle in Amnesia only lights up a 2 foot radius by default, a single candle can potentially light a whole room, albeit dimly. using that logic, that single green lamp should, by virtue of how bright it looks in that picture, light up the entire end of that hallway with a faint green hue, until it meets the blue of the moonlight. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Newsman Waterpaper - 05-19-2014 Spoiler below!
Imgur is experiencing some problems right now for me so you might not see the image right now. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Corvo - 05-20-2014 I think that now the lights just seems to be too bright, maybe if you scale a little bit down they will look better ![]() RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Streetboat - 05-20-2014 yeah, you should just use one pointlight near the lamp with a large radius and a low value. but you've got the right idea for sure! RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Echohalls - 05-24-2014 So it goes... ![]() If any lamps look off balance, they're supposed to be (not installed correctly and falling). ![]() Different Angle... ![]() I was really bored when I done this... RE: Screenshot criticism thread - FlawlessHappiness - 05-24-2014 That's a lot of lamps... You might want to remove just a few of those on the pillars RE: Screenshot criticism thread - i3670 - 05-24-2014 Aside from the previously mentioned superfluous lamps, I really like the shape of the room. RE: Screenshot criticism thread - Romulator - 05-26-2014 ![]() Just some criticism on the color scheme, brightness and creativity aspect of the corner of this room. Changing the walls to be a bit more white soon. Throw me some ideas to help make it a little bit more like a teenage girl's room who's personality revolves around horror aspects (not MLP.. ![]() Edit: The window is not facing the moon, therefore the brightness may/may not be a little off, but I do not need billboards. |
