Found this video occasionally

Extremely nice track in my opinion, very eclectic, I love unusual structures (no boring verse-chorus-verse). But most of all found myself very surprised with Metropolis oldie. Such an old movie, nearly a century old. And still so much inspiring! I wish there were more of such great pieces of art. Modern music & century old video = Heart
As for music here is the full LP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdlAw3N2EiE

For some reason, I'm very attuned to the note E, particularly middle E plus or minus two octaves, but I can pretty much recognize Es all across the keyboard.

Whenever a piece of music has an accented E note or an E held for a noticeable period of time, I can use that as a base to figure out all the other notes.

Me too, sort of. I can tell a detuned or tuned E, but not the A, D and G strings.

A popular piano piece is in the key of G major, and I love to hum its melody. However, for the longest time, I wasn't able to hum the exact same notes as I played, and I found that strange. Today, while playing the piece, I decided to transcribe it to some other keys, and then it suddenly clicked. My D Major transcription (a perfect fifth up from the original key) matched the notes I hummed exactly.

Looks like middle D major is my natural octave.

Has anyone had a similar experience before?

Bump, bumpety bump bump bu-bumpety...

Anyway...

The solo at the end of the song is fucking amazing.
Ducktails is another lesser known indie rock group founded by Real Estate's guitarist Matt Mondanile. This track is from their fourth album (forth released, they've got another by Fuck It Tapes but its not exactly known).

related to the music discussion topic, i have evolved over years and changed my mindset

I think those that complain about "modern" music and keep talking that real music is led zeppelin, ACDC and stuff like that are either kids or just very narrow minded, immature grown ups

Amazing. This song has got me under a spell.

And videos that weird are always interesting to watch.
