RE: Demo crashes - Sopan - 02-08-2008 No probs glad I could help! And you dont need to use CTRL for crouching, changing it to C works fine as long as you also bind "Rotate" to another unused key. Steering a bit offtopic I guess but as for the steampipe thing I would agree that its not entirely logical. However having grown up on old Sierra and Lucasarts adventuregames, where your oftentimes reduced to playing "guess how I thought!" with the developers when youve actually got five different items that wouldave worked just aswell as the intended solution, I consider it a pretty minor detail in what seems to be a very logical game. Guys, tell me, you first game, penumbra, you made it as fan made free thing, and your crew was as 4 people, right? And what about Black Plague? It is a commercial project now, you got the crew? Some time before there was some info that it will me a many-episode-game ![]() RE: Demo crashes - Thomas - 02-08-2008 vorob: The core team has been two people for most of the project, but we started out as 3 and have also had alot of other people involved during the project. A writer, several artists on and off, sound help, a musican, etc. Check the full game credits ![]() Black plague is the final problem because of various problems we had after overture. I am in the part where you open those door where you need the right example of blood. I have entered to that door and after loading the game crash. Here is my HPL log: Spoiler below!
Everything was working fine until this. I am using Windows XP pro. Card is Radeon 9200 series. RE: Demo crashes - Thomas - 02-08-2008 You seem to have found another bug, try searching for and deleting: "particle_plate.tga". Should be in the game directory somewhere. Try and see if it works. EDIT: Make a backup of the texture and if it does not work deleting it resize it to 256x256 and put it back. RE: Demo crashes - Klayman - 02-08-2008 It is working! Thank you. Could you do one more test and see if the crash comes back if you change the size to 201x130 (or something that is not the power of two)? When I replaced that file with original file then it crash in the midle of loading. When I set size of it to 201x130 then it was crashing again. Then i tried 256x256 again and it worked!
