This scared the crap out of me.

As did this scene from "The Seventh Brother"

This thing still creeps me out. And it's in a children's movie. Jeebus.

The Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. The statue with the eye sparking parts made me lose it. I know there's more for me, I'll post later if I remember.

For me it was a ride in an amusement park too - only it wasn't even supposed to be scary. It was just a water track with boats that went through a fake mountain, with animatronic puppets of jolly mine workers doing all kind of mining-related stuff. But man, did they freak me out! Those jerky, inhuman motions, the dead eyes and twitching faces and it was SO DARK IN THERE!
I'd pobably still be scared if I went in there today. But I won't try it. No way.

Oh shut up! You're not useless, not even generally so. Even if you didn't mean that literally I'll have non of it. Oh! I just thought up another freaky scare; this one ride at Holiday World. When we reached the top it just froze for about 5 minutes, and during that time I couldn't even cry.

That story actually reminds me, when I was in 5th grade my family went on a trip to Washington DC, and of course we went to the Smithsonian. When we got there they had these really awesome flight simulators that could flip upside down n' shit, looked awesome. I went on it once with my Dad, went fine, had fun. Went on it again later with my brother and the whole thing shut down literally RIGHT WHEN WE WERE UPSIDE DOWN. So we were basically stuck inside a 4x4x4 room strapped in upside down in complete darkness for about 5 minutes, and I have claustrophobia. Yeah that wasn't fun.

I don't recall what scared me the most when I was much younger, but I know that when I was closer to 12-13 years old the movie Alien made me an insomniac. I think I still suffer to this day, because I can't sleep at all.

Then there was Poultergeist and Exorcist.

Also, the books Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Not necessarily the stories themselves, but the original artwork of the books. Those drawings were god damn creepy.
