I get chills during any of the Shadow chases, the endings, or the torture rooms. There's such poetry in the darkness and despair of the game's story.

Absolutely correct. As are all the other Vocaloids. The reason they are called Vocaloids are....
VOCAL - ANDROIDS. They are nothing more than 100% computer-generated characters. No real singers, just programmers and sound artists. All the music is generated electronically as well, no real instruments.
