Haha wow, you're probably the most talented person I've ever seen. Fantastic job! Really made my jaw drop!

RE: magic with hpl2 engine - anton - 08-21-2013

hopefully I can upload thoose maps (with a bit of gameplay so u can revert engineer it)
Currently playing around with outdoor settings to see how close I can get this to cryeninge.. Some WIPs Smile
The big challege is to work with shadows, but I think projected images and some well planned spotlights will do the trick

Must say overall the engine is good enough to make basically any good PS3 game. The setting is about on the same level as the naught dog one used in Uncharted and Last of us..although some tweaks have to be made manually..like creating the halos and lensflares for goodrays of a sun...but its basically all there.

Please for the love of god, (No blasphemy intended), upload these maps! You could teach us a lot, and that's why I'm here. To be taught how to make maps! I love it so far, and I'd like to learn even more, by looking at your maps.
Do you create most of the models yourself, or are they default?

EDIT: Ok they are not default, but do you make them yourself?

Holy shit, your maps are incredible! Please upload them! Teach me my master! lol

Also, is it just me, or did I see a tree's shadow in the ground at the Level Editor? If so, does the performance demands so much?

There's always one.

The maps will be up..promise Wink Just gonna make em really incredible and hopefully someone might be able to do gameplay for em Wink
I make all the models myself in 3d studio max (off all softwares) was a bit tricky with the scale first , but after some experimentation it works fine with collada.

Fantastic work, that Asylum environment with CryEngine is really something. I hope you keep posting your work and thoughts, and maybe we less experienced can learn something!

Your "rain breakdown" is really useful, thanks for that.

You, Mr. Anton, are a divine. What you have achieved is amazing.
Looking forward to the map releases, so we can learn from your work.

Oh, and by the way: apply for a job here: http://www.naughtydog.com/work/
