Amnesia will be for Mac and Windows on Steam and also from our page, at which you will also find the Linux version.

Hello,
When you say "on request", how will I need to request a key for Steam? You guys are on a real short list of devs that, for me, make day-one-purchase games. I loved Penumbra and am ready to pre-order Amnesia, but I wanna make sure I know how to request my key so I'm ready the instant I'm allowed to request it.
And if anyone reading this has asked themselves why the pre-order isn't available on Steam it's because then profits will have to be shared. If we all pre-order this way, the money goes straight to the developers.
Also, in addition to your games, I'd also like to commend you on your blog. The posts are great reading and show great insight into how your team thinks when putting these games together. So everyone should also be reading all of that if they aren't already.

You go to our game site and login to request the key.
And your theory on Steam is not correct, Steam does not do pre-orders this early for games that is all. At least not for small games like ours.

Thanks for the quick response. And sorry for being thick-headed, but what is your game site? frictionalgames.com? If so, where do I login? Do you mean here on the forums? I didn't see anywhere else to login on your site.

I think jens means amnesiagame.com and obviously the ability to log in and get a steam code isn't available yet.

I appreciate your help, but unfortunately I'm still not completely clear. I didn't see a place to login on amnesiagame.com, but even if there were, what do I use to login? Do I get a username and password after I buy it?
Really, I'm not trying to be difficult. I just want to be sure that I know how this process works.

Understood.
I'm certain it's good though, otherwise so many developers- including many small developers- wouldn't put games on Steam. The Steam store is popular with developers and publishers because it makes good money with zero piracy.
