Yes, you can.
But it's good to remember that P2P-networks and programs themselves aren't illegal but most of the material shared via these providers are.

Yeah but it should be the program and networks job to remove illegal crap from it. Like youtube and the 1000s of copyright videos they have online, and take out 100 a week while another 10,000 show up.

If I have a homeless guy break into my basement and create a meth lab down there so he can give it to all his homeless friends, I'm still probably going to get arrested for having it.

That is still just one person instead of million persons that you need to sue from the website they use illegaly.
Also, if you want to go to court, it will cost you some money.

torrent sites technically only provide you the map (the torrent) file to find the data. They don't actually host any illegal content, only the means to track it. Usenet however would be a different matter I guess.

RE: Pirated Amnesia - Googolplex - 03-26-2011

There are some problems.

1. Most people did not play games like Amnesia. They are grown up with shooters or sports games.

2. The little people, that are interesting in Amnesia, first look for an illegal download or wanted to play it later.

3. The paymant methods. Not every human has a credit card or a paypal account (like me). The mobile payment is a good step but it was coming too late.

4. Amnesia is very unknown (like the game's name beforeWink). Only little people knew that game. Youtube is a great platform to distribute videos and to show the game around young people. I think that is the mainly problem, that Amnesia has no name in gaming world because it is an indie game.

Yeah, but Enron was a scam from the get-go.
