RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Ghieri - 02-12-2013 Quote: Edit: What is that extra plane/slanted surface on the center support block? (Along the green Axis arrow)Didn't notice that, thanks! RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Acies - 02-12-2013 (02-12-2013, 12:34 AM)Aldighieri Wrote: @Acies, is this for Amnesia? I remember there being a discussion somewhere about nude females in the game(or the lack, thereof)It's intended for Spacies, in case I feel content with the result. It won't be a nude female either - as the body is merely there to help me create clothes :] As for making a nude female for Amnesia.. I don't know RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - 02-12-2013 (02-11-2013, 08:13 PM)Acies Wrote: I have been failing in creating a female character for a while now. Trying to get shapes/outlines looking okay. Applied a basic polypaint.Biggest problem here is imo, that, seen from the side, she is way off balance. You should be able to draw a vertical line that (roughly) goes through ear, shoulder, hip joint, knee and ankle. Just use pictures like these as a reference: Spoiler below!

Just use pictures like these as a reference: I remember you telling me that previously; I think I just pretended to forget it = I'm too lazy+dumb to do an appropriate fix. Just out of curiosity, what are the consequences to my bad posing? As for the next character I create I'll also take your previous tip, starting off in Maya, to heart. For those interested; this was the basemesh I created in Zbrush from the sphere. Spoiler below!
A-class work.. hahaha. The reason why I'm rude and avoiding certain fixes is because I sort of want to complete it now. Noticed I started work in the middle/end of October - so possibly just putting this one behind me might be nice! I still read & appreciate every input I get, as I'll start the next character with more experience thanks to people sharing their opinions :] This is where I'm sitting now, after making an attempt at creating clothes (jacket is far from finished): Spoiler below!
Think I'll give her a beret and a cigarett/cigarr. Edit: I did make the hands a little larger :] Tried measuring them against the face, so they should be in correct scale relative to the head - but the head is too small.. heh. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Danny Boy - 02-12-2013 The zip looks weird. Maybe the grabbing part of it should be directed to the floor rather than upside down. Also. I think it should be scaled down a bit. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - eliasfrost - 02-12-2013 That's one big zip RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Ghieri - 02-12-2013 Looks like she's wearing something from the "my first zipper!" Line of clothing. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Acies - 02-12-2013 (02-12-2013, 06:59 PM)Danny Boy Wrote: The zip looks weird. I'll zip it up and fix the zipper.
