If you look at any Pusheen, such as the ones below, you'll notice that its body is very lacking in detail. The artist probably drew the cat's outline and then filled in the body with that tabby cat colour using a bucket tool or something. The fat, blobby body coupled with tiny or near non-existent limbs evokes memories of babies within us, which (most) humans have evolved to find adorable.
