For this game a GTX 760 is definitely too slow. For now ,if you have the money, get the R9 290, it's simply a better card. Both graphics and price wise. nVidia is just overpriced and overrated, only thing how it benefits over amd, might be the techologies exclusive to it, PhysX for instance. But only rare games use it. And of course, unfortunately, developers seem to be lazy on some games, they optimize the game for nVidia primarly, thus making amd optimization less optimized. nVidia is a vicious company, they pay the game developers to do that intetionally. The company who is first or have more money, gets the better version. RE: PC Build [GPU] - Googolplex - 04-01-2014 PhysX also works on AMD. You just have to install it. It's not simply a "feature". Some games require PhysX to run. But as I said, just install PhysX and enjoy. RE: PC Build [GPU] - Yuhaney - 04-01-2014 Works yes, with 1-10 framerate. RE: PC Build [GPU] - Red - 04-01-2014 No, the phys x doesn't work on Amd, but it can be installed still, the physics simulations are made on cpu instead, making it significantly slower compared to separate gpu. But amd has counter attack: TressFx physics simulation. RE: PC Build [GPU] - Googolplex - 04-02-2014 (04-01-2014, 08:38 PM)Red Wrote: But amd has counter attack: TressFx physics simulation. Only for one game: Tomb Raider ?? RE: PC Build [GPU] - Red - 04-02-2014 (04-02-2014, 06:05 PM)Googolplex Wrote:(04-01-2014, 08:38 PM)Red Wrote: But amd has counter attack: TressFx physics simulation. Yes, but i am positive they'll release more titles taking advantage of it in the near future. |
