Its a sin yes, but i hardly believe that someone which kills, plunders, rapes and tortures so he can elevate himself above others believes in any god.
commiting adultery once or twice is a mistake, we all commit sins and a christian should feel sorry for doing so.
those who lead the crusades did not feel any remorse and enjoyed in every single rule they broke. Thats not realy a christian
