RE: What happens after death? - FlawlessHappiness - 04-21-2013 Too bad we're never gonna find the truth... I listen to reason and accept defeat whenever faced with it, because I value the truth more than personal convictions.yeah thats what i thought @Bee Actually we will RE: What happens after death? - Bridge - 04-21-2013 The truth is that no religion is truth. And I say that in the most neutral way possible. I really don't care about "winning" this argument, I just mean that religion will never be based in truth, and it doesn't need to be. But so many people get pissed off when people question the validity of their views that obviously not a lot of people truly believe religion is something people should keep to themselves. EDIT: And with that I propose we agree to disagree, as much of a non-conclusion that is. These arguments never end well and I think it has been fairly civil up until now. If reincarnation is true, (for arguments sake lets say it is) I'm only 1/4th a person. or perhaps no one. Let me explain lets say there were 1 million people living in the middle ages. Well now day's there are 7 Billion (roughly) people living on the earth. So what happens? During the middle ages were there body-less souls just chillin about? Given that the human race could become infinite in number, are there an infinite amount of souls about? EDIT - Changed the number to 7 from 6 billion RE: What happens after death? - Bridge - 04-21-2013 We're up to 7 billion now. Sure is getting crowded. It is the cornerstone of scientific development and ensures the effectiveness of the legal system found in most countries. It is a great concept, and without it we would be doomed to ignorance. When I said "annoyance", I was referring to the annoying spit between people when it isn't made universally clear which carries the burden of proof. The entire week I've been misrepresenting myself, so this is no surprise. (04-21-2013, 10:51 PM)Chronofluff Wrote: Don't worry guys This guy gets it. Actually i was keeping it to myself, you are just provoking everyone that is religious to not be silent. No you don't care about winning because in that mind of yours you think you've already won, that's why its impossible to discuss these things. And anyway i dont really care about the whole argument, if i did i'd bother to discuss how religion is valid or not and why its the "truth" and crap like that I dont have a problem with how you view religion, but i do have a problem with your provocative nature on this matter. edit: just saw your new post. This is my last reply about this matter, don't want this to continue. We disagree with each other, that's it. RE: What happens after death? - FlawlessHappiness - 04-21-2013 Please guys, no matter how you say that you don't really care who's winning the argument, and how provoking each and other are, you're still responding which gives the other person something to respond to, which makes the argument infinite. If you didn't care, then (I guess), you wouldn't answer... Also, we clearly went away from the main topic! Wtf happens when we die? EDIT: Saw your edit Dogfood, and I like it |
