I see GOG SOMA copies for less than $10 on some auction portals. This can't be anything else than a scam, right?

1) Soma.exe (Steam cloud and workshop support but no DRM)
2) Soma_NoSteam.exe (free from all the steam stuff)

Yeah, I noticed that, pretty cool.
NoSteam exe uses profile "Default" while Steam one uses your steamid data.

Is this the case for Mac and Linux versions also?

Will be, currently not as prio has been fixing issues.

Thanks for the info. While at it can you say if there ever will be a regular humble DRM-free version?

RE: SOMA on GOG? - jens - 09-23-2015

Maybe, not decided it is nice to not have to create installers and updaters!

yeah, Gog is usually 100% hassle free. download, install, play.
my experience with steam is downlaod steam client, download game, wait for the steam client to update, wait for the game to update, lauch game, cut steam client to get rid of notifications, and again and again each time you launch it. specially annoying since I usually play on an offline windows that I didn't bother updating or installing antivirus on. steam is just a useless nuisance, don't understand how it's so popular.

RE: SOMA on GOG? - Bucic - 09-27-2015

Could anyone tell me whether it's possible to manually initiate update check for SOMA in GOG Galaxy? Or is it automatic only?

Verify/Repair should do the trick, although there hasn't been an update (at least on GOG) since the 23rd.

Thanks.
But there are actually settings for this in Library tab - <game> - Configure.
