Load Amnesia.exe/Launcher.exe with this (load-> start profiling-> just ok/ launch) and it will crash (because of one .dll for me aswell so dont think of it) but if u see two or more yellow "?" -marks. Say them .dll -names. If just one, i dont care.

Search "OpenAL Installer for Windows" (oalinst) download and install it. For sure its installed.
Sure binkw32.dll is installed. (?)
Windows Aero can effect OpenGL games. Try turn it off.
Try Windows without UAC.
Try launch Amnesia with admin rights and / or in (winXP/2k) compatibility mode.
Are developers known this "Do not use GDI on top of OpenGL rendering."... Can be old and i dont know much it, but just sayed. I think developers know MUCH more than me.
One problem was solved by...
"Go to My Documents/ and delete all the Penumbra/Amnesia folders" ..or just rename them so you can recover them.
-I dont own Vista but just asking.
-Bad english. Scraper can fix this.

Uhm... I installed the demo for it because I might buy it, but it says "A crash has occured" aswell. I've updated everything and tried re-installing the demo. Nothings working.

Try reinstalling Steam Itself.
