I informed Thomas about the small fix guide and said they are looking into it as well. So, probably after they find something this guide will be added to the support thread.

Well this thread is the first result when you google "amnesia study crash". That's why I posted here in the first place. Even if they don't add it to the other thread hopefully a good percentage of people having this problem will find it.
