RE: Pre-ordered but disspointed - Kein - 08-31-2013 If you are so passionate about physical box then not just make your own, but make a piece of art of it. Order a special case, commission special artwork for the cover - it will be unique and special, only for you. If there is a manual PDF file that ships with the game - print it. You just support annoying DRM obligation! If you bought it on an other shop, you would get a DRM-free version plus a steam key, that means 2 copies. Please support DRM-free sites like GOG or Humble Store next time. It's seriously about time for you to stop thinking you're better than others dude. RE: Pre-ordered but disspointed - summit - 08-31-2013 Yeah, you can make your own case and will recommend you Humble Store. RE: Pre-ordered but disspointed - felixmole - 08-31-2013 Yes, do not burn a DVD from a Steam game, most likely they will need Steam to work. You can play your Steam games whenever you want; you don't always need to be online to play them. RE: Pre-ordered but disspointed - summit - 08-31-2013 But Steam has discounts everytime. I like Humble Store, too. Well, that's the theory, but first you have to set Steam to offline mode, and to do this you first need to go online ........ so, if for example Steam was set to online and you lost your Internet connection, you wouldn't be able to go online to set it to offline mode in order to play your games ..... Which is pretty ridiculous really. Also, offline mode, even when activated, doesn't always work as it should. If a DRM-free version of a game is available I'll always buy it in preference to the slightly restrictive Steam version. Actually if you had previously logged in, and Steam still has your log-in info saved, when Steam detects that your internet isn't working they'll ask if you want to try again, or go into offline mode.
