SH1 is also a good game, but you need an emulator.

How's the story and atmosphere in the fourth game? I uninstalled it almost immediately after starting it up because the PC port is absolutely terrible but I might be willing to give it another chance if it is truly worth it. I've heard mixed things about it, mostly positive, but everybody seems to agree that the PC port was a complete failure.

SH4 is one of the worst games I ever played. It seems to be scary, but the gameplay is pure crap.
SH1-3 are the best.
