...also, I'm sure he hates the pony fan base because a majority (it is key to point out that this is not all of them) are bat-shit crazy. Danny Boy has expressed his dislike towards them in the past, but it's not just that 1 guy stuck a pony into the beautiful picture (in my eyes, ruining it), it's that it was more well received than the original.
Imagine if after you released your mod, and a few days later a gentlemen messaged you saying "I saw a few areas that could use some work, would you mind if I made an improved version?", and then he releases it as a PDP mod filled with jump scares and gets higher rated on ModDB*/people review it better.
* = ModDB/Ratings, and whatever else are completely pointless and mean nothing. You're quite the brony so I'd imagine that naturally you're in favor of the guy who added the pony, so I'm just trying to create a more relatable scenario.

I assure you that is not case. Just as in any fanbase, there are some assholes inside the brony fanbase, but they're still a minority.

The original picture was better, it's the fact that Danny gets butthurt over that with his permission someone altered his picture by adding a pony (Kinda silly if you ask me), and starts hating an entire fanbase for it.

That would suck. And I understand Danny's frustration, but I wouldn't hate an entire fanbase because of that (this is not the best example).
I hate the pony maps, and I didn't start to hate the bronies, just the idiots that made the maps.

The point is that pony's get shoved down the throats of anyone who uses the internet on a regular basis all because they're some internet fad now. They just became popular a few years ago when the internet said "hey everyone start liking this now!". If it was truly just based on the quality of the show, there'd be cult-like followings for other beloved (and might I add better overall quality) kids shows as well.
It's clear what I must do now: Start a internet trend for Courage the Cowardly Dog. Yes. They shall be called "Cowardlies". S'beautiful.
I also want to say that I have nothing against the show itself. I've watched a few episodes; they're cute and even funny at times, but there is nothing that separates it from other kids shows in my eyes. Quite frankly, I'd rather watch Ed, Edd & Eddy.
Also, Danny does take some fault in his situation; he should have been more "inquisitive" about what this other artist would be using it for. You can't just give out artistic-rights all willy-nilly and not be prepared for such repercussions.

Andy, if you started an internet cult about Courage, I wouldn't mind...
The reason I mentioned fanart, was that Danny said that all fanart sucked and nothing good can come out of it. Brony or not, you can't deny that this is good art.
There are many adult people liking kids' shows such as Pokémon, Avatar: The Last Airbender etc.
