That awkward moment when I realize I'm too stupid to beat some puzzles but got through them using glitches... Tongue

Here is part 8:

I've finally finished playing it today, and I should be able to upload it fast this time (yay for high speed internet!).

I think my favorite was definitely Echoes of the Past: great level design and atmosphere (as for myself, I had the biggest jumpscare I've ever had while playing Amnesia! Smile)

Last parts: really enjoyed this mod, you guys had a clever idea with that 24 hours context! Smile It was clever and original, hope there will be more like this one! Great job everybody!

I'll just have to ask, the "Haha, he's mine now..." What program did you use?

Just got done with observation room. it was really good. Smile Especially the brute part. Cant wait to start the other parts.

RE: 24-Hour Amnesia - A Collaboration Story - zico - 01-24-2012

Is there any way that there will be another version of the story that contains a fixed cog-wheel riddle for the Observation level?

I watched three YouTube walkthroughs and all show the same solution:
Spoiler below!

1) light up all the wheels on the right side and go to the lever
2) flick the lever
3) if you move away from it, the wheel stay there - turning
4) light up the wheels on left side - door opens

For me however the wheels ALWAYS disapper whenever I turn off my lamp or I move too far away from the wheels.

So either I cannot figure out the logic behind all this or one script does not correctly work with the Linux version of the game (Justine is installed btw.)... So for now I am really stuck here without chance of proceeding.

EDIT: I just managed to succeed. I restarted the map for about the 5th or 6th time and suddenly the solution as shown in the videos worked. I am not 100% sure but I'd say you must not die before this tast or something becomes bugged with this riddle...
Even tho I have to admit that apart from this I am very happy with this story - very entertaining and innovative. And Cry's voiceacting is - as always - priceless.

This was originally a comment asking for help, but then I realized an obvious solution.
