Gothic III RE: "The most exciting RPG games you've ever played"-thread - Hunter of Shadows - 04-05-2013 Why do people keep talking about Ocarina of Time in this list...it's not an RPG, there is not leveling of any kind Ocarina of Time is as much an RPG as Terraria is a FPS RE: "The most exciting RPG games you've ever played"-thread - Bridge - 04-05-2013 (04-05-2013, 02:12 AM)Hunter of Shadows Wrote: Why do people keep talking about Ocarina of Time in this list...it's not an RPG, there is not leveling of any kind Reluctantly agree, because a game does not need leveling of any kind to be classified as an RPG. It is understandable why people refer to it as an RPG though; just the fact that it is an open world game with a very large scale story makes it pretty RPG-like, even though I agree that it is not a true RPG. Fallout New vegas RE: "The most exciting RPG games you've ever played"-thread - Hunter of Shadows - 04-05-2013 It's not just that, roleplaying game means a game where you PLAY THE ROLE of a character, you're roleplaying, but you don't do that in Ocarina of Time, you're not roleplaying Link, you're just... Am I making any sense whatsoever? Yes, which is why I said I agree. I just find "no leveling" a bad reason to say it's not an RPG. RE: "The most exciting RPG games you've ever played"-thread - Sarcophagus - 04-06-2013 In my opinion Zelda is too overrated.
