Given my complete faith in Frictional's ability to make an unimpeachably fantastic game, I'm more interested to see what improvements have been made to the developer toolset. I'd also like to be able to import A:TDD and A:AMFP assets into SOMA's editor Cool Brutes doing battle with sharks; what more could you ask for?

I'd like to see a mirror somewhere in the game where you can see yourself in the game, because I saw mirrors are possible in the HPL engine after I played the TC mod Premonition for Amnesia:TDD. It would be cool if Frictional Games decided to make a player model where you can see yourself in an ingame mirror.

Unfortunately gameplay footage so far has pointed to your player once again being another non-entity. Considering that we've already had Outlast as a recent example of how helpful having a visible body can be for immersion, I'm a little disappointed that Frictional hasn't changed their formula of having you play as a disembodied male-voiced camera.

Doom 3 in 2003 allowed you to see your player in the mirror. FEAR in 2005 allowed you to see your legs and shadow.

This isn't at all going to affect my interest in the game. I just wish SOMA diverged more from its Penumbra roots with regards to player interaction with the world.

Well who knows? It's only an early gameplay trailer, and in the next year or so before SOMA is released they might decide to change some stuff to add to the overall experience, like a mirror-viewable character model.

I think it would be pretty hard to have real body due to the interactivity with the environment. I agree that it would be nice to have a full body but that would mean that FG would have to animate a grab-animation to all of the interactable items and if they mess any of those animations up it would be an immersion-breaker.

I hope that there are horrifying monsters that are scarier than Amnesia's monsters and I want it to be the scariest game out there! Now what I don't want is another crappy futuristic horror game. No no, I want it to be an extraordinary, out of ths world scary *No Pun intended Tongue*
