I'm in excavation room, where there was a broken ladder, i pick it up for solving puzzle that it diseappeared! if I leave room then reenter still ladder is missing if I load the game back is still missing

Sounds very strange, only way to solve it would be to load a saved game from before it disappeared. Or to start from the beginning.
