RE: Screenshot criticism thread - lothabread - 04-21-2014

that looks a lot better Big Grin that new room, i would say try adding a fainter pointlight to fill in where its super dark. it looks a tad unrealistic because light just doesn't end so suddenly between another light.

This or use a boxlight c:

I must say, I do like your style of mapping :D Keep working on stuff!

Thanks for all the feedback guys Big Grin, about the light, there is actually two layers of lamps, that I made to create that light effect(I like the idea of a contrast between light and dark, that why there is that really dark areas, but maybe its too dark, idk)

In the first image you can see the two layers of lamps

*(Sorry about my bad english =P)* Just one question how do I use the spoiler thing?

RE: Screenshot criticism thread - CarnivorousJelly - 04-22-2014

Contrast is lovely - just in moderation (High Contrast, and Low Contrast both look good depending on the setting)

If you're heading for realism, I would recommend giving the shadows more light :)

The spoiler thing, you type:
Code:
[spoiler] then your text goes here and close the spoiler tag with [/spoiler]

Oh, and you're English isn't bad, m'dear c: Have you seen some of the people on the internet - particularly youtube? :p (although a grammar nazi might yell at you for your obsession with commas- these-> ,,,,, <-things)

Nice screenshot!
i'd suggest to darken the sky or to add more blue to the foreground to create equilibrium between the sky and the terrain.

NiksonX I think you should use more light(yellow/orange I think would create a nice effect) and darken the sky Smile

RE: Screenshot criticism thread - 7heDubz - 04-23-2014

Lighting on the second looks awkward, I like the green of the lamp against the orange, and the lighting in the first looks a bit awkward too.. lotta dark spots near lamps.
