Upgraded the lighting in that area so it doesn't look like a black hole anymore !

Any more feedback anyone : 3?

I'm very new to modern assets so I am very willing to receive criticism : ) !

Thanks in advance for any feedback you might have !

Dang that looks cool. Reminds me of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of earth :p good job

RE: Screenshot criticism thread - daortir - 08-18-2014

Thanks ! The atmosphere of the game inspired me a bit : ). I want to give to the modern areas that decayed aspect that Dark Corners of the Earth, and Penumbra in some areas, had.

Wow! Looks really good! I can see you've put a lot of skill and effort into creating the assets.

My one piece of advice is that you can probably afford more polys on the table model. Go crazy and bevel off the vertical edges.

RE: Screenshot criticism thread - daortir - 08-18-2014

The table doesn't look great you're right : /.

The thing is, I make my own textures when needed but everything on the screenshot is just Penumbra models converted, and Amnesia textures/models ^^. The best I can do is try to find a better model, and I'll do that ! : )

Thanks for the feedback, every bit helps. (And thanks for the nice words too !)

Ahhh... you should have just let me give you credit for the assets, lol Tongue

Creating a modern custom story this time? Tongue

Yup ! Setting the story somewhere around 1970-80 : ). This should be a bigger and better project, now that I handle the basis of mapping/scripting !

A thread for it will be created when there will be enough to show, I'm still a bit shy right now :3.

Maybe try Amnesia metal table then?

RE: Screenshot criticism thread - daortir - 08-19-2014

Yup, I'll try different models and see what fits best : ). I think resizing the table a bit might be enough to make the low-poly model less noticeable. I'm leaving for a week tomorrow, don't know when i'll be able to make some progress on the mapping ^^.
