Those kind of attention-seeker sentences, even if you didn't want to seek attention, they'd make you pretty arrogant, so try and stop using them, plus some other weird statements as you already did:

Spoiler below!

Quote:Yeah, i'm a newb and bla bla bla. I have no words about this utter bulls**t.

Quote:Yes, i know, you're probably gonna say "THIS LOOKS LIKE SHIET!" or "YOU SUCK!"

Quote:And it's just white light spammed everywhere.

It's a bit odd Tongue

It's pretty easy to find the easy colour. Put the alpha level a bit more to less, like 0.75, and make the FalloffExp higher, and the end fade distance. It's really nothing too hard.

There's this thing called experimenting, and it looks like you've done it a bit there, but you cant make such fog and find an excuse for the one who judges your screenshots. The building does not look like it's got a roof and the screenie is too plain simple, it hasn't got something a bit characteristic imo. (Maybe that fog, but it looks like sooo unrealistic)

Didn't want to act rude and anything though Tongue

^This.

So JustAnotherPlayer, I believe you learn something valuable on today's lesson about statements and your color problem.

^ this.

Try something similar to the colour of the clouds for the fog. If that doesn't work, then something more like the building. Fog will be the colour of the light hitting it. Aim for something more like one of these:

Criticism of what... they are very dark images with 2-6 objects being shown at a time...

The 3rd image just had no lighting at all. For one, your fireplace and candle lamps aren't facing the right direction. Their is no ambient light being cast from the lights also.

Translation:
Your images are very dark, you might want to increase gamma before taking a screenshot OR (and this is the better option) increase the overall ambient light. Personally, I rarely use an ambient light darker than 0.09, 0.09, 0.09 (RGB) because it makes for poor screenshots and doesn't translate well in-game. Don't get me wrong; you can have dark areas. Just not COMPLETELY dark areas. Especially where, in your third picture, you have a fire but it's pitch black around the fire. That wouldn't happen in reality and it looks wrong in game. Place a pointlight or a spotlight that's similar to the fire's colour in the fireplace.

Your images also contain very few objects and are thus rather bland detail-wise. Try adding some decals and particles to give them texture and depth. I noticed you have book shelves tipped over in one spot. Why not scatter some books and torn pages on the floor? You could also increase the tile size on your floor and ceiling planes; it will help make the repetitive pattern less obvious.

It's books and papper on the floor, but i just realised it's to dark to see them wich is kinda ironic. :p And thank you for the tips Smile

RE: Screenshot criticism thread - DeAngelo - 03-15-2013

HNNNNNGGG, OK, I'm still getting the hang of all this lighting crap. In the meantime, I'm working on random rooms for my CS so here's a screenshot of a library. As always, I'm open to any criticisms Smile
