Does anyone know, for what this puzzle is?
I never recognized, that this is a puzzle to repair the steam circuit.
Actually this puzzle caused nothing, I played the game without doing it.
You can repair the machine for the stucked bridge without putting the pipes into the holes.
You can see the picture in the attachement, for what I mean.
So, I think it could be only a planned puzzle what never takes place in the game.
Or for what is this puzzle?

Nobody knows it?
All people playing Amnesia and nobody can say, which effect this puzzle will have.
Can Frictional Games make the puzzle compulsory for the repairing of the bridge in any next update?
Because you actually don't need to make this puzzle, but I like it.

Yeah I know what you mean, I remember using the pipes to get the platform to lower. I think you could actually throw a rock up there to get it down I think, so they are giving you different ways to get around it.
