i have some problem at level part 3 no strings attached.i cant open the box with cotton or get the cotton,i tried to patch the game,reinstall but doesent work,whats wrong?

I had that once. I think I started a game all over, but maybe there is some patch or whatever. I tried so many times on grabbing it, but I never could get it.

Hmm, long time since I last played that...
If I recall correctly, you need to have the book from the desk in your inventory in order to take the cotton string.

You need to know that you need a fuse before you can pick up the cotton. Hence, you need to grab the book about explosives first.
