I downloaded a save game file because I lost my progress from deleting it accidentally. This is the only save I can find and it had the commentary on. I don't seem to be able to turn it off in the config file or the options in game.
Can anyone send me a save game of the Cistern Entrance level just after you exit the Control Room?
Please help! Thanks in advance.

First of all you need to make sure that your save game is from the same game version. If the game is at update v1.2 and you use a save from 1.1 for example, you may run into problems.
Also, the commentary can be disabled from the main menu options and it does not have to do with the save file itself.

You're probably correct in that the game version is different. I also obviously stated that I was unable to disable the commentary from the menu or the config file. I would greatly appreciate if you could send me one of your saves. I could send you a 25% off any Valve game coupon as well as rep. Sorry, it's all I have to offer.
