No custom stories folder? - Zach94 - 01-28-2012
I bought the game from the frictionalgames website, using my mobile phone to pay, I got the game and played it through, but now I see that if I look at "Start menu-programs-Amnesia - The dark descent" I only find something called
Amnesia (shortcut)
Frictional games
Frictional games support
Manual
Remember-short story
Uninstall Amnesia
That's all, I also have a "Main" folder, which only contains my saved "Accounts" for the main story of the game, but nothing else, no custom stories or such, I play on a vista computer if that's any information that's needed.
Help please? Hehe.

You need to find the file. Depending on where you put the folder for Amnesia when you installed it (Mine went to Program Files (86x) by default). Try looking there too for a folder of Amnesia, if you use a 32-bit then look for Program Files (without the 86x).
If the Amnesia folder is there go into it and then on into the "redist" folder like Unearthly said. You should then find your folder for custom stories.

You tell me: Which ones were you trying to install? Not every custom story has the same installation process, unfortunately.

Yeah, I believe that Full Conversion mods need to be installed differently.

Both just need to be extracted to C:\Program Files (x86)\Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist\custom_stories or equivalent.
