So you're telling me you never saw this logo or knew that they were the developers of Mortal Kombat.

I'm going to assume you're just trolling me.

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion - Danny Boy - 12-19-2012

Nope. I never owned the game... Played some times whit a friend of mine who was a fan. But I personally never really got into them. Other than that no I have no idea who this people are and what other games they have made (ignoring the possibility they might be those you mentioned in your previous post)

And no. I am not trolling you. I am being as honest as I can here.

Well, by no means are these guys "independent". But you... I don't even...

By some weird stroke of oddness, you've evaded them nearly completely. You still played the Unreal games which were developed by EPIC and MIDWAY. So you should've seen something. Or you were just ignoring it.

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion - Danny Boy - 12-19-2012

I don't recall telling you I played Unreal either. I just know its out there on the game stores.

I honestly am only a casual gamer. I only really got into Amnesia to the point of joining it's community because I loved the idea of custom story and wanted to be a part of it.

Huh. Ok, well that explains it a bit more. You see, I don't know of many people who actually invested time into researching Amnesia because most people are either 1) stuck with indie games - meaning they spend hours searching for games to their liking and games that appeal to them, 2)they play games casually and stumble upon new ones meaning they'd play most any game but not really invest research into finding one, 3) they are an avid gamer but only know of "relevant" or "mainstream" companies (EPIC, Bethesda, Warner Bros., Disney, etc.), or a slight combination of any of the above.

I don't know how old you are, but if you're over 18 , I'm just, quite frankly, extremely surprised you've never heard of Midway.

Sorry, Danny, I didn't mean to offend you if I did, I'm just... Jeez... I'm shocked.

But for the record, I've NEVER played Mortal Kombat, I've only watched people play it and I knew it was from Midway. Loading screens told me and so did the cartridge and game discs in later versions.

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion - Danny Boy - 12-19-2012

Yeah. 24th December I'll turn 18 Big Grin and thats just a few days from now ^-^. And yes I am a casual gamer. But that doesn't mean I like to play any shitty game that is out there. I like to search games of my liking. Something that Steam as helped me a lot lately ^-^ (fucking love puddle man! I love to mess whit fluids!.... that didn't sound right) but yeah... caring about the actual companies that make the games I like to play is a rather recent thing for me. Only started caring a bit about it when I turned 16 or something. Probably around the time the developers of Dead Space named themselfs "Visceral Games". Then I knew About BioWare and so on to other game companies such as Frictional games or "That game company", Valve and yara yara yara....

Well of course it was rubbish but a large audience loved it. It was popular enough to create a movie (or soon to be two) and multiple games. I never played it, but it really set that entire 2D to 3D side scrolling fighter game genre in motion. Now, it's just a stereotypical 3D fighter game. I never said it was good, but it's been around us since the 80's.

Still, all of you people are just proving my point. The Suffering, made by Midway, is a "mainstream" game due to the company.

Questions about AAMFP - Artyom - 12-19-2012

Hello fellow people of the forum.

I got a few questions about the upcoming AAMFP.

1. Will there be a new engine update, like HPL 3?

2. If there will, will everyone be able to get there hands on it and direct mods, custom stories etc?

3. Is AAMFP an dlc for Amnesia TDD or is it a completely new story? Was wondering due to the fact that it's actually called Amnesia

Well that was pretty much all i had to say. Thank you on forehand :D

Merry Christmas

RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion - WALP - 12-19-2012

1. AAMFP will not be using HPL3, but a modified version of HPL2.
2. No one knows, but it would be kinda weird for them to not let us create custom content this time.
3. its an entirely new game.
