Well what if they get rid of the option to pause when the monster is near and then when the monster leaves you will be able to pause again ? Hmm...Idea

GameZone: Who is Oswald Mandus, exactly?

DanPinchbeck: He's a wealthy industrialist who made his fortune in the livestock industry but suffered a horrendous family tragedy and has been struck down with a terrible disease while exploring the ruins of the Aztecs and Maya in Mesoamerica. He wakes up from disturbing dreams at the start of the game and begins to try and piece his life back together, to understand what has happened to him.

Well now I know where he was exploring in mexicoBig Grin I find what the Aztecs did to people is scary because they did rituals that were the aztec priests pulled the mans heart out like in the movie apocalyptoConfused

That'd be kind of stupid because sometimes I gotta do things that can't let me wait for a monster to leave before doing them.

Definitely, I hope it's more of a in-depth, engaging intro than the whole "My name is...I am...Daniel" thing at the beginning of TDD. I am really looking forward to the story in AAMFP, the TDD story was very good, but I hope they do it better in AAMFP.

I'd actually kinda like that ^^ One would have to be careful not to break the fourth wall too much though. The stuff Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem did for example was cool, but it also pulled you out of the game quite a bit. (In case you didn't play it - it had a sanity meter, too, and when it was low, the game itself would behave strangely. Like, change the volume of the TV, pretend that the gamecube had a fatal error and your savegames were gone - that sort of stuff. Big Grin)
