installing on ubuntu? - maxamillionbucks - 03-10-2012 I've recently switched computers, i got a new laptop and i have amnesia on my desktop. needless to say i would like to have amnesia on my new laptop, both run ubuntu. But installing on my laptop has given me a completely different result, i have a file named amnesia_tdd_1.2.sh and i've tried running it every which way and it only wants to run it with text editors, which then fail to open at all. I may be missing something completely obvious but i really can't find anything on how i should go about using this file. RE: installing on ubuntu? - Your Computer - 03-10-2012 You need to give the file permission to execute. Most popular file managers let you do this in the file properties. RE: installing on ubuntu? - Urkle - 03-10-2012 Either give it permission to run (turn on execute bit), OR run it from the a terminal window like so sh ./amnesia_tdd_1.2.sh |
