Can't solve it with troubleshooting /: (Laptop) - hugholiver - 03-11-2012 The game initiates, the menu (black background), sounds and images in general are ok. When I start it, there's a white dot (the non-crosshair-crosshair-mouse-thingy) and a black screen. I tried to update my driver, but it seems that my system is not compatible. Here go the details: Initializing Graphics Module -------------------------------------------------------- Init lowlevel graphics: 1024x768 bpp:32 fs:0 ms:0 gpufmt:2 cap:'Amnesia - The Dark Descent - Loading...' pos-1x-1) Setting video mode: 1024 x 768 - 32 bpp Init Glew...OK Setting up OpenGL Vendor: Intel Renderer: Intel® HD Graphics Family Version: 3.0.0 - Build 8.15.10.2279 Max texture image units: 16 Max texture coord units: 8 Max user clip planes: 6 Two sided stencil: 1 Vertex Buffer Object: 1 Anisotropic filtering: 1 Max Anisotropic degree: 16 Multisampling: 1 Texture compression: 1 Texture compression S3TC: 1 Auto generate MipMaps: 1 Render to texture: 1 Max draw buffers: 8 Max color render targets: 8 Packed depth-stencil: 1 Texture float: 1 GLSL Version: 1.30 - Intel Build 8.15.10.2279 ShaderModel 2: 1 ShaderModel 3: 1 ShaderModel 4: 0 OGL ATIFragmentShader: 0 ATTENTION: System does not support const arrays in glsl! Thanks anyways RE: Can't solve it with troubleshooting /: (Laptop) - plutomaniac - 03-11-2012 http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-9942-post-89162.html#pid89162 RE: Can't solve it with troubleshooting /: (Laptop) - hugholiver - 03-12-2012 Did that already, with the four options I was given when I chose my system. None of them worked. RE: Can't solve it with troubleshooting /: (Laptop) - hugholiver - 03-12-2012 No, the installing did not work, they were not compatible. Also, my IntelHD is said to be the one that seems to work, version 3.0.0, which, in troubleshooting, is said to work just fine. RE: Can't solve it with troubleshooting /: (Laptop) - jens - 03-12-2012 Your driver is only revision 2279 (current is 2622), you need to install a newer driver or else it will not work due to bugs in the Intel driver. RE: Can't solve it with troubleshooting /: (Laptop) - hugholiver - 03-12-2012 But how can I install? I tried with each and every one of the updates and they were all incompatible. I looked exclusively for Windows 7 (32 bits) and they all said they were 64 bits, and therefore unable to install.
