Game unable to load from steam - Amisp - 03-12-2012 If I could let me begin by saying I have had this game for almost 4 months and it has always played fine until today (although I have made absolutely no changes to my computer). I decided to start my game today and upon doing so I got the fatal error for no sound devices. I went through the process of following the stickies and getting the openal32.dll put in as well as openal-soft. After I put them in the game would say loading, my mouse would move to the top left of the screen, and nothing would happen. Finally, I deleted "launcher" in the documents folder and changed the .exe file to launcher. At this point the game loaded to a black screen with a red border for about 10-15 seconds and closed. I'm at a loss. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated. RE: Game unable to load from steam - jens - 03-12-2012 Perhaps completely uninstall the game and the install again from Steam RE: Game unable to load from steam - Amisp - 03-12-2012 I have given that a try 2 times but no luck yet. RE: Game unable to load from steam - jens - 03-12-2012 Make sure that you have checked the cache integrity for the game in Steam, then delete all the setting files from Documents/Amnesia/ then make sure there is no anti-virus program running that could interfere with the game and try to launch it. If not working, download new drivers for the graphics card and install them as maybe the drivers are corrupt.
