Transparency/Texture Issues - Fallion - 03-28-2012

Whenever I play Amnesia on my desktop I keep getting weird textures like these:

In addition, blood spots look like red tiles. And trees look like black, jagged, polygons. I am using the current version of my drivers and the most current version of the game. I have also tried all the steps in the troubleshooting section, but so far nothing seems to be working. I have adjusted the graphics settings to the lowest levels, the highest levels, and everywhere in between to no avail. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7950
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

Have you tried changing the settings in the control panel for the graphics card? For example Catalyst AI has had a tendency to be problematic in the past, so that could be a possible cause if it is active.

Well, I have noticed that users with the new AMD Radeon HD 7XXX series cards have these texture problems with the game no matter the driver. So, it must be a driver issue with the game, something that AMD must be informed about.

At the moment, I don't think the game is compatible with them...

Hello, just hopping in to confirm that Radeon HD 7XXX serie seems to have some transparency issues with the game.

I got this using a Radeon HD 7750 with the lastest drivers :

Looking forward for some fix, the game looks great.

AS mentioned above this is due to the graphics card, the HD 7XXX cards all seem to be experiencing this, something ATI should look into.

I think they fixed it in the latest beta release of the drivers
