Unable to download of all things (resolved) - AdamP - 11-23-2007

I've read through the the tech support and didnt see this, so sorry if it's there and i didnt see it.
I downloaded the demo and installed and all just fine, great game.
I bought the full version and downloaded on my 2k machine and it downloaded but was corrupted.. so i attempted to download on my Vista machines several times all of which "An internal error occured in the Microsoft Internet extensions" at different points into the download anywhere from 20mbs to 170mbs into it, tried once more on my 2k machine and again, corrupted. i have a pretty stable connection, and dont feel like it's my side, but judging by the lack of this issue on the forum, it could be.

any ideas before i eat up all your bandwidth?

Which company did you buy it from?

Do you have any firewalls in the way (highly unlikely it would cause problems)

Contact your ISP and check with them aswell. Peopke download from the server all the time without any problem, so it most likey an error along the way from our server to your computer.

Congratz on a thousand posts Tongue
and thanks for the fast feedback,
interesting, though i havent had this problem with any other large downloads...
I'll try at an alternate location, the customer service from my ISP is less than remarkable.
thanks again

i bought it from the online store...
my router has a firewall, i dont see why this could cause the problem though.
i suppose i could try connecting direct to my modem, but again i dont see how a firewall could cause the problem, thanks though!

EDIT: so i tried downloading from another source but i had somethings to do as the download was going slower than expected, so later today i bypassed my router and downloaded it, and it wasn't corrupted O,o
still unclear on why this happened... anyway, thanks
