DON'T NEED MORE PEOPLE. - AnthonyTrix - 04-08-2012

Hi,

I signed up yesterday because my little brother (teddifisk) wanted me to.
Anyway, I thought it would be cool to make a short high quality custom story with someone rather than doing it all alone. So if anyone want's to make a story with me PM me or reply to this thread.

Some pictures of some stuff I created yesterday just to showcase how I make levels Tongue

I made the levels just to showcase how I detail etc. They can be used in the story if they are needed Smile

Could you just make a small high quality room where you use all your knowledge on lightning, detailing and so on just to show me how you make levels?

I can join in if you need a writer to help with the story. You can see a sample of something I wrote for HumiliatioN when he couldn't come up with an idea for his story, he just knew he wanted something to do with someone waking up in a strange place.

  1. How about having
    your main character be from the modern day. You would just have to make a
    small room for him, maybe use the computer from penumbra and a TV model
    or something. The intro could be something like this:
  2. You arrive home late one evening after a
    night out with an old friend. You two shared some drinks, some laughs,
    and generally had a good time. However, before you leave the bar, a
    strange man approaches the two of you. He is old, his hair white and his
    face lined with wrinkles. The thing that strikes you as most odd,
    though, are his clothes. He's wearing a dark, elegant cloak that seems
    hand-stitched, like something not from this time...
  3. He whispers something into your
    friend's ear, places a small, square package covered in tape on the
    table, and turns to leave without speaking another word.
  4. "Who was that," you ask your friend.
  5. "I don't know, but he said this thing's for you..."
  6. Upon unwrapping the layers of tape
    around the package, you dump out the contents onto your desk. The only
    thing that falls out is a small object wrapped in cloth. You hastily
    unwrap the cloth, thinking that this must be something valuable, but
    you're disappointed when you find what just looks like an old piece of
    glass. One of the sides is perfectly round, while the other appears
    rough and jagged, as if it used to belong to some sort of sphere...

  8. Now maybe this is where the game would
    start. Your character would arrive home to his apartment (drunk, of
    course) with the mysterious glass shard in his inventory and a memento
    saying he should get to sleep. The player would walk over to the bed and
    lie down. After a disturbing nightmare of some sort, the player "Wakes
    up" back in Castle Brennenburg, with no idea how he got there or what
    sort of terrors await him.
  9. What do you think of something like
    that? It's just an idea. Anyways, it's almost 4 am and I'm dead tired.
    Gonna go to sleep. Let me know if you like this or not, I can just as
    easily thing of something else.
