Strange problem with my custom walls/floors. - saft - 04-17-2012 Hey people i've got some problem and i hope the people of the frictional board could help me out some. I have this weird problem with my custom models. I've made a couple of walls before and they all worked out fine until yesterday when i was making this bathroom wall. When i opened this wall in the HPL Model Viewer it didn't show up with the proportions it should've had. It was just a square pretty much (it's the same size and shape as the white outlines in the picture). So i tried saving the model again (using maya) and wen't back into the HPL Viewer, now it looked like it was supposed to. In the level editor the white outline still is the size of the messed up model but when i place it in the world it's the right size. Do anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance. RE: Strange problem with my custom walls/floors. - Rapture - 04-17-2012 I've had this same problem before, not sure why if you go back to Blender/Maya, change the porportions and export it back out again. Its not a good solution, but you can redo the the .ent, .mat files from scratch. RE: Strange problem with my custom walls/floors. - Statyk - 04-17-2012 Not sure of exactly how to fix it but I have a few ideas. 1) Delete the .msh and reload it in the modelviewer. 2) Open the model in Maya and do "Modify > Freeze Transformations", then "Modify > Reset Transformations". Export, delete the .msh and load it in the modelviewer again. RE: Strange problem with my custom walls/floors. - saft - 04-20-2012 Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure if they worked though. I'll keep trying. |
