Playing this made me realize how damn scared I was playing the original. Very nice work!

I did manage to fall through the world, however. Out of the first door I went straight ahead and jumped over the barricade pretty easily, then continued down the hall and through the door and fell to my death.

Oh yeah, lol. I remember watching a friend play right onto that... forgot to fix it.
Will probably update along with some other minor stuff soon. Thanks for the report.

I can't proceed after that. What I do? I need to get that "elevator shaft working" Nothing happens in machinery room. It's greatly detailed map, but maybe a little complicated puzzle.

If you stack boxes and such in the room where there are machines running, you will find a crank that you spin to proceed. The crank is up on the large pipe.
There's a broken ladder inside that room as well, which was meant to be for the crank.
But I agree, I'll probably give some more hints for the puzzles, hearing about it.

Hmm, that's a problem I've never encountered. That message is only displayed if you're far down, too far for what a human could normally spin something rusty. Did you try stacking one or two more boxes?
You can't spin it if the machinery isn't on, by the way.
