.dae help/ Model Help - MaZiCUT - 06-17-2012

So i'm trying to import a coffin from Penumbra into Amnesia, or so i can use it in my custom story.

I've got all of the material etc but it ends up looking like this:

That's what i get in model editor, i have no clue of what to do next, it seems to be untextured even though i've got all the textures etc.

RE: .dae help/ Model Help - Obliviator27 - 06-17-2012

You need to apply the texture in your 3d modelling program, and then re-export into the HPL engine.

Hmm okay, but i've got all these files from Penumbra, shouldn't it be done alredy considering that it is actually used in Penumbra?

The models are set up for the HPL1 engine. You'll still need to configure them for the HPL2.

I will try applying the textures, but what about the bump thingies and all? Do i just apply them too as regular?

RE: .dae help/ Model Help - Khyrpa - 06-17-2012

Apply the basic diffuse texture. All the other possible (spec, nrm, etc.) can be added in material editor.

RE: .dae help/ Model Help - MaZiCUT - 06-17-2012

Now i've applied the texture in Cinema 4D, exported in Collada 1.4 , there's Collada 1.5 but i used Collada 1.4, when i open it with the model editor now the model editor crashes.

Help?

fuck this shit it's impossible

Cinema 4D is if you ask me a big no no, to get 100 % guaranteed results on export use Maya.

There are plenty of tutorials on how to apply a material, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
