2012 ¿End of the world? - KingCrimson - 07-07-2012

Well, i just want to know if too many of you think that it's true. I think there might be other explanations about why the maya calendar finishes on 2012. Maybe because the spanish killed them before they could make more, or theories like that.

I think that 21/12/12 nothing will happen. For me, it's a silly belief, such as what they said about the year 2000 or the 06/06/2006

PS: Sorry for my bad english

I just had a a drink at the local bar with my Alien buddy, he says Earth is screwed. Live it up while you can!

No, nothing will happen, just like all of the other doomsday predictions.

RE: 2012 ¿End of the world? - Kazakarumariou - 07-07-2012

I highly doubt that the world will end in 2012.
It would be quite a shame if it did.

If the scientist can't detect anything dangerous, then I would assume that there wouldn't be anything to be cautious about.
I believe the world will finish with meteors or when that galaxy collides with ours throwing Earth around possibly killing everyone if we don't have the technology to protect us from death. But before that will happen, our moon will soon be gone. The moon over the years moves farther away from us, If the moon escapes out of our gravitational pull, the Earth won't be rotating safely. The Earth will be randomly moving around not giving us any seasons and one side of the earth will burn long enough to kill them on that side until it turns. The opposite side will freeze doing the same thing as the burning side except freeze us to death. Then the world will spin around repeating the whole process again. The best way we could prevent this from happening is moving the moon from Jupiter (I couldn't remember the name of the moon) and moving it into our orbit. That will scratch off that harsh ending.

But I don't think we'll survive long enough for any human to witness that moment, I personally think that if we aren't hit by a meteor it will be the the humans who kill the humans. We aren't thinking about the future as much as we are now, we've created so many issues that will possibly affect us in the near future. Everyone says we're running out of oil and fossil fuels, we're releasing so much dangerous toxins things into our atmosphere. There's so many issues that probably could be resolved if we act now, but people don't care about that. They care about themselves, they've gotten selfish, and greedy. I'd never think that the thing that keeps us going is money. You can't do anything nowadays if you don't have any money.

Sorry if I went too off topic talking about the futures endings. In my opinion that Maya calender is something ridiculous and in my mind not even possible.

Scientist's are always right! The previous one were stupid! They were from 2006! Now it's from 2012. Their much smarter!

Are you an idiot?

RE: 2012 ¿End of the world? - MaZiCUT - 07-07-2012

Goddammit people! They just got bored of making the calendar! Would you sit in the same spot all the fucking day writing dates over and over again?

Big Grin

I highly doubt that the world will end this year. If I remember it right the mayan calendrar is based on a mathematic equation, and that the equation reaches zero at the end of this year. In other words, the equation is decreasing each year and just happens to reach zero 2012. Nothing magical about that.

He has to be trolling. He wouldn't have 7 rep points, and hopefully wouldn't be an ass. If he his I'll find him, and I'll do things he will regret for the rest of his life... lol

I don't get why is this discussion even taking place... for some reason people like to make up dates for the end of the world and always end up looking bad when the sky isn't burning. the year 1000, the year 2000 and now 2012 god damn it guys (the people who believe in that bull crap)! tha fuck is wrong whit you?

Its like people like to make up ridiculous excuses to kill themselves... look at 2000... how many people do you think killed themselfs so that they don't see the "end"? mark my words when we start to approach December 21, people will start killing themselves AND each other because "the end is near"!

Silly Humans... you find the weirdest things to believe in...

Where did you read that? I mean, I've heard about the Moon slowly moving away from the Earth, but surely if it left us the results wouldn't as catastrophic as you describe?

And when the resources run out, people will go to war over what's left....

Issues can never be solved quickly. Change always takes time. After all, it's better to make informed decisions than to act on impulse.

I do agree that selfishness and greed are bad things in general, but I have to say that mankind has been selfish and greedy from the start.... since caveman times! It's human nature...
