Material Edtitor crashes when i enter folders! - ari - 07-15-2012

I have had some problems with the material editor. when i enter my folder with the. png file i want to use material editor just crashes. and given me a "blackbox error message" and i dont really understandings anything thats in the errormessege. so this is a really big problem. if anyone can help I would appreciate it very much!

Convert the file into a .dds format using Nvidias photoshop plugin, or just hit up google to get one for say The Gimp or whichever image editing tool you're using.

You shouldn't be using .png files for textures, they're mean mean people.

98 % of games engines can't use png files for textures. I'm not really sure with HPL but I'm fairly certain that's your problem.
