Hey Forum
Does anyone know how to make a rope and how to properly use them? I searched everywhere hoping to find a tutorial but still have nothing. I even took a look at the amnesia justine hps script to see how they did the rope on the first map, but it was to messy and difficult to understand. Could someone show me something simple, ex: if you turned a crank the rope would pull a hatch open. It would be very appreciated.

Rope areas require PosNodes, and RopeFiles are located in the misc folder. The rest should be self-explanatory when looking at the rope area properties and the functions related to ropes.

hey, it's funny because this thing look like a conspiracy, i mean there is no place with any tutorial like to make a rope and use the physique to make it open a door hold item or anything else. Even on the Frictionnal game wiki there IS a "How To Make Rope" but it is Bloqued (Permission Denied) but anything else on that site was availlable What the heck? come on can someone make a tutorial ?

You can search around this forum and you can check how ropes were done by Frictional Games in their maps. For example check justines first map. It has the lantern on a rope and other stuff.

It's very hard to study the scripts from frictional games, they have a lot of stuff. But, I think I'm getting something. Hope I understand a bit more later.
