Also the model contains 106,601 polygons. Which is WAAAY too many, you can't use that model in game.
that many polygons? Exclamation ?

I can make one entire character with only one polygon

He prolly never heard of the function extrude?

RE: Slenderman Monster - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - 09-04-2012

Umm...I think you're confusing polygons with elements here. You cannot make a character that consists of only one polygon, unless that character is rendered onto a plane ^^

As a reminder: A polygon is a face that is formed by three or more vertices. But you probably know that, right? Wink

Anyway, it doesn't matter since candlejack has already aquired a lowpoly of the character in question.

RE: Slenderman Monster - ferryadams10 - 09-04-2012

then what are polygons? :S

RE: Slenderman Monster - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - 09-04-2012

Polygons are what I just said they are. Faces contained by vertices. Smile A Cube has 6 Polygons or 12 triangles. (smallest polygon possible)
Elements (or subobjects I think they are called in Maya) are "groups" of polygons that are separated from others. For example your character can have a bunch of grenades hanging from his belt that are not connected to the geometry of the body, but still part of the whole mesh/ object.

Are you experienced in modeling?

I use maya 2013

RE: Slenderman Monster - candlejack131 - 09-04-2012

Are you speaking to me or HirnWirbel?

RE: Slenderman Monster - ferryadams10 - 09-06-2012

I was speaking to HirnWirbel hehe I'll keep the conversation somewhere else sorry for bothering xD

RE: Slenderman Monster - warmacha11 - 09-06-2012

why dont you just import slender man without any animations and joints and bones. after all... nobody has every seen him move... Tongue

That's precisely it the monster requires a dummy animation in order to function properly so the only way to get him to work correctly is to give him at least one bone and i posted the error i got but apparently no one knows what it means for i have not gotten a reply on it.
