I can't get my costum stories - Diablo Souleater - 07-24-2012
I downloaded a few coustom stories and I add them to the file were there suppose to go butwhen I go to my game there not in there...I beat the main game and i feel like that it wasn't enough so I was wanting to play differnet stories and i can't get them. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

you suppose to put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist\custom_stories

I put it in the custom stories folder but it dosen't seem to work after i load the game up..more usless shit to download trying to have more fun if I can't get them to work

in your main folder of your story you supposer to create these thing
-entities folder
-maps folder
"name".hps
"name".map
-custom_story_settings.cfg
-extra_english.lang

Which custom stories are you trying to install? Some can't simply be placed in the custom_stories folder.

Gary Dark Secrets and White Night are both full conversion mods. Better Place is probably one too, but the only link i can find to it is dead. Either way, full conversion mods don't belong in the custom_stories folder. Read the readme files that come with the stories. It should tell you what to do, or at least provide insight on how to install it.

I don't have oneIf you have a steam version then you extract the CS folder into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\amnesia the dark descent\Custom_Stories" else you should search for the redist file and find the Custom_stories Folder.That works only for customs stories!
For full conversions you just extract all the files into redist or amnesia the dark descentfolder and run a cmd(bat) file.
